Meet Barb

Barb Wilkinson has been helping people find their place in the Truckee-Tahoe community since 2003, bringing the kind of insight that only comes from truly living the life she sells. A full-time resident since 1999, Barb has watched the area grow from a quiet mountain town into a thriving four-season destination. Through every shift, she’s remained deeply connected to the people, neighborhoods, and spirit that make this place special.

Barb is known for being steady, thoughtful, and highly informed. She specializes in working with people in transition—whether they’re relocating for retirement, purchasing a second home, or selling after decades of ownership. Her clients value her ability to simplify complex decisions, communicate clearly, and offer honest, grounded guidance at every step. She explains market trends and transaction timelines in a way that feels approachable and not overwhelming, and she is always focused on helping her clients feel confident and cared for.

Before joining Dickson Realty full-time in 2009, Barb led the KidZone Museum as Executive Director and then transitioned into real estate, managing the marketing for a top-producing local team. Her multifaceted background includes a corporate entertainment sales career and nonprofit leadership. 

Her ability to connect, problem-solve, and advocate for her clients with warmth and precision has earned recognition across the region for her leadership and service. She was named 2022 REALTOR® of the Year by the Tahoe Sierra Board of Realtors and currently serves as President of the Tahoe Sierra MLS Board. She also volunteers with Truckee Rotary, Trails & Vistas, the Queen of Hearts Fund, and Truckee’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).

Outside of work, Barb lives the life that draws so many to Truckee: trail days, lake mornings, and evenings swapping stories with friends. She plays pickleball, hikes with her book club crew, kayaks on Donner Lake, and helps her clients plug into that same local rhythm—whether they’re looking for the right house or the right hiking group.
